The timing changes of these indicators are computer programmed. The movements of the directional arrows is programmed from the direction of the moving average. Simply put if the moving average is rising then the arrow is pointing up, if the moving average is flat then the arrow will be flat & if the moving average is trending down then the arrow will point down.
