We have wondered whether the slow and tentative movement particularly in the more industrial metals may relate to the closing of so many of the major banks’ commodity trading desks, essentially removing a good deal of the speculative aspect of price movement for those metals as well as other commodities including Oil. Nevertheless, the longer-term technical patterns are suggesting major bull market trends of the past decade plus are coming to an end.
